    lascores

Stoner Avenue Elementary School has enjoyed a successful relationship over the past two years with LA Scores (America Scores LA), a local non-profit youth-serving after-school soccer and literacy program. You can learn more about LA Scores at www.lascores.org.

Sadly, due to COVID-19 restrictions, LA Scores is unable to offer its normal in-person after-school programming to 3rd, 4th & 5th grade Stoner Avenue students this fall. Instead, we are happy to announce LA Scores will be offering a virtual version of its soccer and literacy after-school program. As always, there is NO COST for LA Scores programs.

The LA Scores virtual after-school program is tentatively being scheduled via Zoom for every Tuesday and Thursday afternoon from 3:00pm-4:00pm starting on Tuesday September 15 and running for 10 weeks until Thursday November 19. These 1 hour fun and engaging after-school sessions will include a combination of LA Scores soccer and literacy curriculum in each session.

LA Scores will limit registration to the first 20 students registered (boys and/or girls), any students registered after the 20 student capacity has been reached will be placed on a wait-list. LA Scores hopes to make capacity adjustments to accommodate all students interested as the virtual program progresses and will communicate directly with those parents with capacity updates.

In order for your 3rd, 4th or 5th grade child/children to participate, parents/guardians must register their child/children using the following link:

    LA Scores Virtual Program Registration

The online registration form is available in both English & Spanish by toggling the Google “Select Language” button in the top right corner. Once you have registered your child/children, you will receive additional instructions and reminders for joining the Zoom calls from LA Scores directly via email.

Please direct any questions you may have for LA Scores to 310-204-6455 or via email at info@lascores.org. Thank you!
